Firstly, I have to apologise for not giving my blog very much attention in the latter part of 2016! I had a super busy year, including re-locating from Essex to Scotland! I am loving my new way of life up North and lottiephotography is doing well so far! I am still continuing to take bookings down South & across the UK :-)

So, one of my obvious resolutions this year is to keep my blog post more up-to-date! If I have a busy few months where it's not possible to blog, I will do a round up of the month instead, so I'll switch between weekly & monthly blog posts :-)

So here is 2016 rounded up in pictures. I thank you all for your fantastic support as always. I wish you all good health, happiness and lots of fun times for the new year!

So recently I had the pleasure of taking some family photos for Dawn & John with their baby boy, Finlay. It was such a fun & relaxed photo shoot and Finlay couldn't have been better behaved! He smiled throughout and is simply gorgeous.
Dawn & John make wonderful first parents and it was so lovely seeing the bond between the 3 of them :-) Here's a sneak peek of what we got up to!

James & Louisa's big day finally arrived on Sunday 12th June at the gorgeous Downhall Country House Hotel. The atmosphere was buzzing and Louisa was doing a grand job of organising everyone! Everything ran so smoothly throughout the day and this is definitely down to Louisa & James' fab organisation of the day and the great team at Downhall. The weather had been on and off but thankfully, the sun shone when it was time for the photos! A fantastic day all round with an impressive reception, the cake.. well, you'll see for yourself! And fireworks to finish off the day. Thanks so much for letting me photograph your amazing day guys!

Shelley & Shaun had a glorious sunny day for their wedding on Saturday 30th April 2016 held at the very beautiful venue, The Old Parish Rooms, in Rayleigh, Essex. Earlier in the week, thunderstorms had been forecast, so back up plans were being made for photographs! However, the weather was on our side and it couldn't have been a better day for them!
I loved all the quirky details on the day, including the 'Trotters' van and the gorgeous vintage theme they chose.
It was such a fun day to photograph, I think at one point I was almost in tears of laughter during the speeches & the vows when they kept getting the giggles!
All the guests were great fun and all up for some fun photos.
What a lovely bunch!

Warning: Geeky photographer moment...!!
I have finally got myself an 80 x 100 Bowen Softbox, I have been working so hard for it and it's so great to be working with some Bowen equipment in my studio! When it came to choosing what size softbox I needed and what I wanted to achieve, there was so much to choose from, but the fabulous team at Wex Photographic were fantastic and gave 1st class customer service as always. I have always had a great experience with these guys and have purchased a lot from them, I don't think of any other supplier now!
Of course, it's always good to practise a new light on a family member first... Thanks sis!! ;-)

Wow, what a way to start off my weddings of 2016 with the gorgeous, vintage themed wedding of Ashley & Craig! We were also very lucky to have such gorgeous blue skies. The wedding was held at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend-on-Sea and provided a gorgeous setting for photos, the tide was in too which made it all the better! Ashley looked stunning in her vintage lace dress and her hair style was just perfect. I loved the dusty pink colour theme reflected in the bridesmaids dresses, the bouquets and the groom & ushers' ties, everything was so tastefully done and it was an absolute joy to photograph Ashley & Craig's special day.

Ballet, ballet.... & more ballet! :D

So some of you may know that I am a huge ballet fan... and recently I took some product shots for Just Ballet, a beautiful dance shop located in Thorpe Bay. Their leotard range is incredible, and there are so many other little things that are so cute about this shop! This shop is every ballerina's heaven, with a changing room filled with gorgeous tutus and vintage theatre chairs to try on shoes! A real hidden gem. You can understand why I enjoyed this shoot so much :-) Here's just a small selection of photos that I took of dancer, Eleanor, who also helps at the shop on a Saturday! :-)
